课程名称Invariant Metrics in Several Complex Variables

 

课程简介:

 

There is no Riemann mapping theorem in several complex variables. It is therefore important to study quantities that are invariant under biholomorphic mappings. The following invariant metrics have played important roles in several complex variables: The Kobayashi metric, the Carath\'{e}odory metric, the Bergman metric, and the Cheng-Yau metric. The first two metrics are (non-smooth) complex Finsler metrics that satisfy the length decreasing property under holomorphic mappings while the last two are K\"{a}hler metrics. In these lectures, we plan to cover the following topics:

(1) Basic properties of the invariant metrics.

(2) Comparison of the invariant metrics on convex domains.

(3) Estimates of the invariant metrics on strongly and weakly pseudoconvex domains.

(4) Lu Qi-Keng's theorem and the Cheng-Yau conjecture.
